The British Academy for Training and Development offers a professional training course in Managing and Leading Data-Driven Innovation. Successful implementation of data-driven innovation depends on changes in organizational culture and structure, management models (policies, practices, and processes), tools and technologies, behaviors and attitudes among service users and other stakeholders, and health and wellness, society, and care services within and across the system. This course emphasizes the importance of effective leadership and provides organizational context, work processes and routines, and user culture and preferences in the design, planning, and delivery of data-driven health, social, and care services. This course introduces the most important theories and methods from administrative and organizational sciences related to health, social and care services. We draw on examples from the health, social and care services sectors to examine management and effective leadership in data-driven innovation. Participants will use these case studies to learn how to make complex decisions based on incomplete data and controversial information, have uncertain implications for effective leadership, and make the change effective.
